Terms and Conditions

This is not a competition. We’re looking to find an artist to work with to create some awesome artwork for an iconic event.

• You are the original author and have sole right to use the image/photo/illustration/painting

• You grant us permission to publicize your entry and social media handle through multiple marketing channels

• You must be 18 years or older to participate.

• The selected artist will be commissioned to create art to be screen printed in no more than 3 t-shirt colors and in unlimited neckwear colors.

• Artist must be willing to collaborate and work with headlining sponsors (Rab & Buff) and Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival in the creation of the Artwork.

• Artist will be given deadlines and must deliver artwork on schedule.

• Banff Mountain Festival, Rab, and Buff will have full access to final artwork and are allowed to produce the signature collection for promotion and sale through their global network.

• Artist will be interviewed about artwork process and production for a profile on Rab and Buff blogs/social media/websites.

• We reserve the right to move in a different direction if needed, however the artist will be recognized as the selected entrant either way.

• Artist will be compensated in cash and kit when the artwork is delivered.

• Posting an entry on Instagram or via email isn’t proof of receipt of entry.

• The selected artist will be contacted by Rab via Instagram direct message or email. Our decision as to the selected artist is final

• We may disqualify your submission entry if we have reasonable grounds to suspect you may be in breach of these terms and conditions

• We reserve the right to amend or to cancel, alter ‘Banff Mountain Festival 2023 Artist Search’ or amend at any stage, if deemed necessary in our opinion, or if circumstances arise outside our control.
